I wanted to share a quick recap of my experience at SNAP this year, for those of you who don't blog, SNAP is a blogging conference, where bloggers go to learn awesome stuff (about blogging) and connect with brands and other bloggers. I can honestly say that I was a little overwhelmed, but not as bad as last year!! Baby steps...
Howdy! I am happy to have another contributor post that I shared at My Repurposed Life to show you...otherwise you would be getting, "Nothing. Zilch. Nada." (If you can name the movie that comes from then I am impressed, and you probably have small kids, or grandkids) :)
We have been in Utah running a Marathon this past weekend (which I am happy to say, despite a 6 hour delay because of weather leaving Colorado, we made it safe and the race went surprisingly well considering injuries and such, it stinks getting old!) We got home late last night and I fly out early Thursday morning to attend the SNAP conference in SLC, which is where we ran the race! So yeah, projects...on hold.
Here is my Leather Belt Crate...
I think maybe I live in a false reality.
Ok, let me rephrase that. My brain lives in a perfect world, and it makes plans and lays them out with such good intentions. Oh, wait...I guess it is not just my brain, it is me.
When I am making plans I forget to include little things, like...eating. Eating is overrated. Right? Wrong. And people also think they need clothes...clean ones. I can do that, just don't expect them to be folded. Digging for that sock mate for 10 minutes when school starts in 5 builds character right? *Just want to make sure you know the above was written in scarcasm. :)
Then, there are all the other things life throws out, like kids needing stitches...life is full of fun little surprises.
I guess my point is, when you think you can bust out something in a weekend...say?...I don't know...a bedroom makeover for example, including making the bed. That is a false reality!!! At least in my case.
Phew, I am glad we cleared that up. Making sense? I SO want to share amazing awesome cool projects with you all the time. I have about 5 years of work all planned out in my head, but with real life going on (which really is the most important thing, and my priority) I just can't physically keep up with all my great intentions. It get excited, but then remember I have to pull it back and take it at the right pace, which is much slower than my brain would like. :)
So bear with me...like Michelangelo paining the Sistine Chapel, someday I will make an end! My bed is waiting patiently in the kitchen as we speak.
Sorry for that random thought...I needed to get it out, thanks for those of you that actually read it!
On to my project, Coat racks made with old License Plates...

I am so excited to share this fun and easy project with you!
I have a friend that is having a rustic reception and I decided to make these Pallet and Scrap Wood DIY Picture Frames for her to display on her tables. Since I have scrap wood coming out my ears...seriously it is getting bad...I decided to use it up. (a small fraction of it anyway)

I have had a TON going on and have not had a chance to finish or complete a project, but trust me. Projects are happening...
