How and Why I make money Blogging:

I began this blog to share tutorials of my projects with others to inspire them to create, and that is still what drives me today.  I seriously love it when I get an email from a reader sharing what they made from my tutorial...It keeps me going. :)

I would say for me writing a blog isn't the easiest thing, I love doing projects and I even love writing my posts, (I can't believe I just said I love to write, ha!) but keeping up a blog and all the "behind the scenes" stuff is hard for me.

As my blog has grown I have had more opportunities and have had a desire to be better for my readers, but it also means more behind the scenes stuff, which means more time.  Writing plans for some of my projects is one of those things I have been learning, and I want to become better at photography too (something I have Always wanted to do).

So what is my point to all of this?  I just want to explain that while I am growing, my focus is still the same, to inspire others, YOU, to create.  That is why I blog, for you, I want you to feel the same joy I do when I create something I love.

As a wife and mother of six very busy children I have limited time to post and share projects, my time is extremely valuable.  My kids are growing (way too fast I might add)  and I am realizing how hard it is to provide my kids with opportunities when it costs so much money!  Blogging started as a hobby for me, but now it is my business.  Something I love, that I can still share with others, and hopefully make some money at the same time, so I can give my kids the chance to do the things they love.

So how do I make money?  Well the best part is that I can do some things on my blog that can bring in some income and I can still provide FREE content and great projects and plans for you!

Ads- The ads you see on my blog are companies willing to pay me for you to see them, and it doesn't cost you a dime!  Some ads are affiliate based and if you click through and purchase I would receive a compensation. These ads are products I love and use, I promote them only because I believe in them, all opinions are always my own. :)

Affiliate Links-  I provide these links to materials and tools that I love and use, naturally they are things that you as a reader might also need or want.  They are basically links that say I referred you to them.  If you happen to purchase something within a short time frame (mostly 24 hours) of clicking on one of my affiliate links I can earn a little bit of money AT NO EXTRA COST TO YOU!  The price for you does not change, and even sometimes I can give you discounts this way.  It really is a win win situation, I hopefully can help you, and you GREATLY help me!  So Thank YOU!

I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites

Free Product-  One of the fun things about this blog has been the ability to be in contact with brands.  I have had brands reach out to me and I have also reached out to brands on my own.  Sometimes they send me free product to try and it saves me a TON of money.  There are no strings attached, so if I don't like the product, I don't share it with you.  If I like or love it, you will hear about it.  If it makes projects easier and more efficient for me, then I want to share it with you.

Sponsored Posts-  Brands are sometimes willing to pay to help cover materials, labor, etc... so that they can be connected to one of my projects or plans.  They may also want one of their products included in one of my posts, in this case I will always maintain my opinions as my own and give you my honest view.

Thank You!  I want to let you know that I appreciate you as my readers!  Your comments and support mean the world to me!  It is sometimes scary to put my projects out there knowing that I am not perfect and I make mistakes.  I am a teacher at heart (and by degree) so sharing my content in tutorial form truly brings me joy, and the icing on the cake is when my readers in turn share their projects with me!  So from the bottom of my heart thank you so much!!
