Get the look and feel of Hardwood...without the price!
Hello Friends!
Today I am going to show you how to get the look and feel of hardwood...without the price!
Feast your eyes on this Gorgeous floor!! And it is mine!!
Total happy dance...pinch me I must be dreaming!
I have been
You can not beat the beauty, price, and quality on this flooring anywhere, it looks and feels like hardwood, plus I never have to worry about refinishing it! Needless to say I am in love.
The hardest part for me was choosing a color...the are all swoon worthy. I finally decided to go with Silver Oak, I was worried it would be too dark, but it is perfection. :)
Before I get to all the pretty pictures of my amazing new floor...let me share a few before shots and don't worry...I will be sharing my tutorial on how I installed this floor ALL BY MYSELF in a few short weeks! You know I won't leave you hanging.
Once upon a time...a few weeks ago my main living space had three separate types of flooring.
The once white carpet was completely disgusting (yes I know, hard to believe it used to be white...I did mention 6 kids and a dog right?!), and the bamboo flooring was beautiful but after years of abuse it was scratched to an oblivion.
I was SO beyond ready to rip it all out...
And it was all smooth sailing until I got to the tile.
I think this picture speaks volumes. With the help of my Son and a few of his friends we had the carpet and bamboo flooring out in about an hour, but the tile...oh the tile.
That took days. So much fun. Not. Thank goodness it was only a small section.
After some prep work I was finally ready to install the flooring...and I really can't wait to share what I learned and show you some tips and tricks to help your laminate flooring installation go smoothly. Watch for those tutorials and videos coming soon.
For now let's just enjoy the fruits of my labors...you have no idea how happy I am to finally be walking on this awesome floor! We all love it!

The color of the Silver Oak is so stunning in person, it really does kind of "shimmer"...which gives it a unique quality and sets it apart.
And the texture...ah happiness.
You all know I LOVE wood...this flooring has all the qualities of wood without the splinters! Ha! I don't need any more of those, thank you very much. :)
I think it is going to take me a while to be able to walk through these rooms without stopping and staring with a contented smile.
